DIY PS4 – Shakespeare’s Birthplace

In this assignment, I took a small object and turned it into a silicone mold and then a resin cast.  First was to find the best way to split the object for molding (my choice unfortunately neglected the base, looking only at the house), then make the silicone mold (which went well but that I’m not great at smoothing clay and was unfamiliar with the clay working tools), and finally cast it in resin.  I think the final product looked great, though I am somewhat sad to have broken off the chimney of the original, especially since there was a lot of mess from previous peoples’ work in the area and so I couldn’t find the missing piece after it came off.
